March 1998 - "LOOK OUT" is released

BRAX HUDSON IS developing a strong pace with his production of oil paintings and continues to turn out works that help chronicle memorable local landmarks. The most recent work he completed shows the twin, World War II triangulating towers on the beach near Gordons Pond in Cape Henlopen State Park. Brax's work takes advantage of the tidal pools that often gather near the bases of the towers providing beautiful reflections. His work also includes a touch of the surrealism that has become a trademark of many of this young artist's most striking works. In the towers painting, the surrealism comes in the guise of an electrifying web of lightning crackling in the distance beyond the towers. Brax said the 900 edition print of his stunning Cape Henlopen lighthouse painting is selling well, with more than 300 sold to appreciative owners. He's looking forward to a good summer season of sales. Brax said he is now beginning his next work, which will be a panoramic view of the downtown Annapolis skyline, painted with his back to the harbor with the light of a rising sun.
